The challenge

Six sites, six different systemsFour video platforms and two access control systems, none of which talked to each other. An incident across two sites meant two operators, two exports and two timelines.
There was no maintenance windowClinical operations run continuously. Every cutover happened alongside a live department.
Controlled areas had to stay both secure and instantClinical staff cannot fight a reader in an emergency, and pharmacy stores cannot be open. Both requirements had to hold at once.

What we delivered

Physical Security & SurveillanceOne VMS across all six sites, access control integrated, retention set to the group's policy
Structured CablingCamera and reader infrastructure into live departments, phased ward by ward

Worked to IEC 62676 (video), EN 60839 (access), TIA-568.

The numbers

640cameras on a single operator position
Cameras installed or migrated640
Sites brought onto one platform6
Access controlled doors215
Readers and biometric devices248
Video retention delivered90 days
Departments closed for the work0
Phased delivery22 weeks

The outcome

Security now runs from one operator position instead of six. An incident review that used to take a day of exports across sites is answered in minutes from a single timeline.

Documentation handed over

  • As-built device schedules per site
  • Camera coverage records, held internally
  • Retention policy configuration
  • Operator training records
  • O&M manuals
